Gonzalez and Machado cheered the citizens of eastern Venezuela, who, like everyone else, believe in political and peaceful change by exercising their right to vote in the presidential election on Sunday, July 28.
Thousands arrived on time for the wide and long intercommunal Barcelona-Puerto la Cruz avenue, surrounded by a popular clamor never seen before.
Although the Chavista authorities initially set up various blockades on the main streets, Anzotiguans came from all corners to cross the barriers and say they were in a solidarity campaign.
A few hours earlier, Machado was greeted warmly by neighbors who waited for him on the side of the road in Brittu and other areas.
