5 soldiers were killed in the clash in Tamaulipas

Tamaulipas.- Soldiers and State Guard agents killed five armed men belonging to a criminal group in the Cristo Vive ranch in Rio Bravo after a long standoff this morning.

The shooting started around 12:30 midnight this Saturday and the explosion of submachine guns could be heard two kilometers from the place as far as Colonia El Campanario de Reynosa, bordering the municipality of Reynosa.

The collision alerted motorists and drivers of industrial transport trucks, who at the time were dropping off workers from the Reynosa maquiladoras on their way to Rio Bravo, and posted warnings about the dangerous situation on social networks.

Officials from the Tamaulipas Secretariat of Public Security reported the balance of the conflict as of this noon, in which one wounded soldier and five gunmen were killed.

Elements of the State Security Special Forces (FEGE) also took part in the shooting.

Explosions began to be heard from several successive gaps between Reynosa and the Rio Bravo, until finally the final collision occurred at Cristo Vive Ranch, along Gap 109 of the Rio Bravo.

The commanders of the companies requested an ambulance to help the wounded Cedena element, who suffered a gunshot wound to the ribs and was recovering at a Reynosa hospital.

They demanded in the presence of trial lawyers to certify the deaths and the seizure of four high-powered weapons, a shot-up truck, several chargers and bullets.
