Proposal was supported across the board and must be voted on by the plenary session of the Constitutional Convention during the next week.
The Regulation Commission approved this Thursday the creation of the Culture and Science Commission, a proposal that was supported cross-sectionally and will have to be ratified by the plenary session of the Constitutional Convention during the next week.
The representative of the Los Ríos region, Ramona Reyes Painequeo, valued this advance since it is about giving value to the identity, particularities and realities of each territory that should have their own space in the new constitution, as he pointed out.
“It has been a very important day to highlight these two very important issues that encompass the Chile we want to build,” he said. In the same way, he called on his peers in the plenary session of the convention to approve the creation of this commission in the next session that will vote on the operating regulations for the remaining months of discussion.
During this afternoon and evening, the Regulations Commission will continue its work to review and vote on the nearly 500 preliminary indications that the report has, to then be delivered this Saturday, August 28, to the board of directors and it is estimated that it would be voted on in plenary the next week.
