Biden to name senior White House staffers, including Jen O’Malley Dillon
Issued by Sean Sullivan and Michael Screer
Biden plans to announce the White House senior staff on Tuesday, compiling a list of people with knowledge of the plans, including several close aides who led the campaign he won.
The list includes Steve Richetti and Jen O’Malley Dillon, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss announcements that have not yet been made public.
Representative Cedric L. Richmond (D-La.) Will join the administration, a decision that was confirmed by two Democrats on Monday with knowledge of his plans.
The hiring marks Biden’s latest attempt to serve on his incoming team. Last week, he tapped longtime aide Ron Klein as his White House chief of staff.
Some of the others that Biden brings into his administration have a deep relationship with him.
Richetti was Biden’s campaign leader. He was one of Biden’s most trusted strategists and served as his chief executive when Biden was vice president.
O’Malley Dillon became Pitton’s campaign manager earlier this year, and landed on the ship as the team recovered after struggling in early nominating matches. A veteran of Barack Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign, he managed former Democrat Betto O’Rourke’s failed Democratic presidential campaign in 2019.
Richmond is one of Biden’s most important African-American allies. He was an early supporter of Biden, often campaigning for him, and appeared on television on his behalf. Richmond Representative James E. Is said to be close to Glybern (DSC). Glibern’s support helped Python win the South Carolina primary, which facilitated the nomination for a win.
