No. 1 Konsaka Men’s Basketball No. 6 Kansas for Season Start Win

Three non-Gonzalez athletes who tested positive for COVID-19 were isolated in their hotel rooms.

A total of 112 trials were awarded and event officials said none of the players on the four participating teams tested positive. Auburn and St. Joseph also take part in the event.

The big picture

The way these teams played each other, it should come as no surprise that Konsaka and Kansas will meet again late in the NCAA Tournament, perhaps the final four.

Bulldogs are deep, and it seems they can play anything on defense and some teams. They can score inside and out.

Kansas will never give up. Many of the country’s teams came into the hole with 14 points for the country’s No. 1 team and couldn’t come back to tie it. However, Jayhawks was unable to recover from Gonzalez’s second attack.

Gonzalez, who will play four morning interim games at West Coast time, will play Auburn at 11 a.m. Friday, including the first-10 games with Baylor and Iowa.

Kansas, Kentucky, with a challenging scheduling schedule including Creighton, will play with St. Joseph on Friday.
