The partnership brings exclusive content from two top celebrities to serve and grow Spotify’s global audience of 320 million monthly active users. In a press release on Tuesday, the two said they would “host and produce community-generated podcasts with shared experience, descriptions and values.”

“What we like about podcasting is that it reminds us all to take a moment, really listen, and connect with each other without distraction,” the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said in a joint statement. “With the challenges of 2020, there has never been a more important time than this, because when we listen to each other, when we listen to each other’s stories, we are reminded of how close we all are to each other.”
“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex may live in California, but the power of their voices lies in being citizens of the world,” Astroff said in a statement Tuesday. “The fact that they embrace the extraordinary ability of podcasts on Spotfire, while at the same time seeking to raise fewer voices, is a testament to their appreciation for the ability of audio storytelling.”
