“WhatsApp Introduces Ability to Use Multiple Accounts on Single Android Device” | Daily list

As reported in the latest beta for this operating system and some users can already try it, WhatsApp enables the ability to use multiple accounts from the same Android terminal.

The company has spent months on features to make the platform easier to use. With options like ‘sub mode’, That is, the functionality that makes it possible to connect the same account on two devices at the same time.

Last June, the site WABetaInfo announced that it was developing a similar functionality Use multiple platform accounts on the same deviceIt will initially be reserved for the business version, namely WhatsApp Business.

The same portal has now indicated that the feature has started reaching more Android users thanks to the latest beta update of WhatsApp for Android 2.23.17.8 released by Google Play.

To add a new account, tap the arrow icon next to the QR code button. When a menu appears, under the main account installed on that terminal, the ‘Add Account’ option will appear.

You can also switch to another account in the same menu, and if a new account is added, It stays on the device until you log out.

WABetaInfo pointed out that this feature allows users to keep their private chats and work conversations in the same app and it keeps their notifications separate.

It also pointed out that now, instead of having to configure different platform accounts separately on each phone, you can use one app on your main device to access them.

This option is already available to some beta testers who install the latest version of WhatsApp for Android and will reach other users of this operating system in the coming weeks.
