At the opening ceremonies of the three exhibitions, UABC President Dr. Luis Enrique Palafox Meister emphasized that this is an effort by the university to promote scientific and technological careers in the children and youth of Baja California. “This is why it is important to bring them closer to the university community and society in general,” he said.

He added that through this type of exhibition, UABC fulfills the responsibility of expanding and sharing the benefits of science and culture with society. He also thanked the National Autonomous University of Mexico for facilitating these exhibitions and for allowing access to the Baja California community.

Teacher Vanessa Verdugo González, Head of General Coordination of Cultural Guidance of UABC University, stated that these exhibitions are an invitation to engage in the culture and dissemination of science, activities that are not only the responsibility of researchers or scientists, but also of all people.

“Through these three exhibitions and others, UABC aims to make all knowledge affordable, useful and transforming the life of the state, the nation and the entire environment,” said teacher Ferdugo González.

Both university authorities required attendees to be, in addition to visiting these exhibitions, their main promoters. “I would like to see rooms full of girls and boys who come visiting from primary, secondary and secondary schools, but also whole families,” emphasized the rector.
