PAN beneficiaries will get the increase this September

Participants in the Nutrition Assistance Program (PAN) will receive an increase in their benefits this September as part of a $103 million reallocation of resources before the end of the federal fiscal year.

These resources, already reflected in the accounts of program participants, will be available today, September 4, 2023, the normal dates of the monthly release, it was reported.

Older adults who participate in the PAN program receive a higher percentage of their benefits, as do residents of the municipalities of Vieques and Culebra. For those over 60, the maximum benefit for September is $288, with municipal residents receiving $306 and those over 60 receiving $339. Likewise, for example, a family of one (1) person will receive a maximum benefit for September of $255, while a family of four (4) will receive a maximum benefit of $854.
