Max Scherzer cemented his presence in the championship series against the Astros

The Rangers’ star pitcher assured the press that he will hit the mound again in the series against Houston. Carlos Nava brings the current report on Rangers.

With clear skies in the forecast, the T-backs will keep the roof open for Game 3 of the Chase Field World Series.

Phoenix – The The Texas Rangers and Arizona Diamondbacks will play Game 3 of the World Series outdoors… with the stadium’s retractable roof opened by the end of the Major Leagues, thanks to near-perfect weather in the area.

The temperature expected at the start of the third game of the Fall Classic was 76 degrees Fahrenheit (22 degrees Celsius), with no great chance of rain or wind, so the roof was opened four hours before the game.

The first two games of the series were played in Arlington, Texas, and the stadium’s roof was closed due to rain last Friday and Saturday, according to Major League Baseball.

“The ball flies a lot with the roof closed,” said Rangers manager Bruce Bochy.

Bochy knows the Diamondbacks’ Chase Field inside out. His entire career as a manager before coming to Texas was done in the same West Division of the National League, with the San Diego Padres and San Francisco Giants.

Arizona went 15-8 in outdoor games and 27-31 indoors.

Rangers shake up the batting order

The Texas Rangers changed their batting lineup for Game 3 of the World Series from what they used in the first two games and what they had at the end of the championship series.

Adolis Garcia was moved up a step to bat third, behind Marcus Siemian and Corey Seager; Rookie sensation Evan Carter took his place in the fourth, and designated hitter Mitch Carver finished fifth.

Game 2 was a four-hit home run, including a lone home run by the Rangers in a 9-1 loss to the Diamondbacks at Globe Life Field.

Soon…

– The Rangers confirmed that all tickets for Games 6 and 7 of the potential World Series back in Texas have been sold.
