The supply of spaces to enjoy good drinks and food is increasing in Miraflores and this time it is the turn of craft beer. In September of this year, a new taproom opened serving exotic beers from Peruvian brand 7 Vidas. Provecho visited the place, which is strategically located half a block from Kennedy Park, and in this note we tell you more about the experience and what can be found on its menu.

Miguel Zuniga, one of the project partners, tells us that this space is a franchise in alliance with the 7 Vidas brand. “We want to focus the brand experience on the end consumer and let them enjoy the full experience,” he explains. It is worth noting that 7 Vidas Brewery was recently recognized as America’s Best Brewery 2023, at the 10th edition of the Copa Cervezas de América.

The idea behind this taproom is to celebrate the wide range of beers made by this brand, highly recognized for its creativity and quality for creating versions with amazing ingredients like mango or purple corn. “This is a space designed for a fairly diverse audience, because we offer everything from basic releases to more complex flavours. The idea is that the audience ranges from the most demanding in terms of craft beer, to those who don’t necessarily know a lot, but have curiousity”.

The space is very spacious and comfortable, plus there are tables and a bar from which you can see a selection of 20 tubes – crowned by the charming black cat that is the symbol of the brand. This taproom also offers a list of bottled beers. You can enjoy a tasting which consists of 4 beer choices served in shot glasses. “The people who usually order it are those who don’t have a favorite yet or want to try a variety and then decide on one,” explains Miguel. The most classic thing is to enjoy a half or a full pint, although it all depends on the taste of the diner.

The idea is to be able to have a consistent menu, which we can manage the preparation of and never lower the quality standards, which is very important,” Zuniga adds.

An experience to share

We definitely recommend going with a group of friends, colleagues and even family, so you can try the menu of over 25 of Vidas’ seven beers – not counting the three guest ratings.

Among our favorite versions we highlight Rose Brut, a new beer that uses fresh Italian grapes in preparation.
