Joe Biden has a foot in the Oval Office. A few hours ago, the newly elected President of the United States gave his first interview after the election. He said escaping the shadow of Barack Obama was one of his biggest challenges.
“This is not Obama’s third term, because we face a completely different world than the Obama administration. This president, President Trump has changed the landscape. This is the first time the United States has become one,” Biden said.
Biden has big plans for the United States. Even those who voted for Trump, he wants to be representative of the American people’s spectrum. He is considering appointing a Republican to his cabinet.
“I want this country to be united. The purpose of this administration is unity. We can no longer pursue this serious political dialogue. It must be stopped,” Biden said.
The president-elect also spoke of Donald Trump. Since January, the future former U.S. president has been under financial investigation as he loses his constitutional protection. But Biden says he wants to stay away from this. He will not use the judiciary as a locomotive in Trump’s trial. “I read a series of statewide investigations. There is nothing I can or cannot do about this.”
