New committee of the Science and Technology Advisory Board at UTN San Francisco

The National Technological University, with a new committee of the Science and Technology Advisory Board, is working to encourage innovation and regional development.

In an important step towards enhancing scientific research and technological development, the San Francisco Regional College of the National Technological University (UTN) announced the entry into force of the new Committee of the Science and Technology Advisory Board. This commission was approved by Board of Directors Resolution No. 652/2023 and will operate until December 12, 2025.

The main objective of the Advisory Board, as a body drawing on the Science and Technology Secretariat of San Francisco Regional College, is to advise on the formulation of policies established in these areas, and to promote research and innovation to contribute to the growth and transformation of the city and the central region.

The specific objectives of the Advisory Council include:

  • Providing advice on formulating scientific and technological research policies.
  • Promote research to contribute to regional development.
  • Encouraging the signing of cooperation agreements to exchange knowledge and solve common problems.
  • Encouraging the transfer of research results.
  • Facilitating interaction between research and teaching.
  • Support postgraduate activities related to master’s and doctoral degrees at the regional college.

The new advisory board committee consists of a coordinator representing the Ministry of Science and Technology, in addition to department directors in specific positions, along with permanent research professors and their substitutes. They were all selected for their expertise and track record in research and technology.
