Young people from Etecsa in Cienfuegos stand out for their contributions to science and innovation

The regional division of the Cuban Telecommunications Company (Etexa), in Cienfuegos, stands out in the country for its contributions to science and innovation, with its youth technical brigades as champions of this mission.

Pani Brito Santana, science and innovation specialist at Cienfuegos, noted the presence of researchers at eighteen events, two of which were international in nature. Although a proportion of the investigations were related to remote services and others to computer hardware recovery, some had a direct impact on customers.

Among the innovations that focused on business management, Brito Santana distinguished himself by applying QR codes to access various services without having to stand in line, as well as managing the payment of fees through these and other means.

The Etecsa Cienfuegos Innovation Movement includes twenty members of the Youth Technical Brigades, presenting innovative topics related to the environment, technology, and information and communication (ICT).
