AMLO came for 'personal ambition'

Mexico City.- Morena's presidential candidate, Claudia Scheinbaum, stumbles during her speech at a rally in Los Cabos, Baja California Sur.

Sheinbaum revealed that Andrés Manuel López Obrador came to the presidency because of “personal ambition,” which he later had to correct.

“Our struggle, as we have been struggling for years, is that we are not going to reach the presidency as President Andres Manuel did because of personal ambition,” he said.

“We're achieving justice, we're achieving well-being for the people of Mexico, and that's why we're going to support Baja California Sur so that there are no such deep inequalities.”

At the end of her speech, when the morning bells were already ringing for Mother's Day, Sheinbaum was alerted to the mistake and clarified:

“They correct me here if there is any confusion. Of course, we did not come because of personal ambition but instead managed to change our country,” he said.

“If there's one thing that's understood differently, it's definitely not. The president, López Obrador, managed to change our country, and we're going to change ours.”

After the incident, Morena's YouTube account deleted the broadcast of the rally in Los Cabos.
