WWE SmackDown Report 6/14 – Randy Orton returns; LA Knight meets Logan Paul

WWE hosted SmackDown on Friday from Scotland, a one-day showdown at the Citadel.

Naomi defeated Chelsea Green.




Backstage, Street Profits tells Kevon Owens that he has his back for today's match against Solo Sikova.

We have a new version of the Grayson Waller Effect with Grayson Waller and Austin Theory. Waller jokes that he understands the audience because he understands English. DIY tonight's guests. Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa release a video with a replay of last week's fight, where you can see Waller throw his partner Thierry into Gargano in full flight to ringside. Waller says it's done by AI. Waller says that the end justifies the means because what he and the theory are doing is winning. Ciampa proposes that Waller quit his stupid show and fight for the titles, which is what the public really wants. Gargano tries to get Theory to see that Grayson Waller is using him. Waller responds with a punch. A fight ensues between the four.

Backstage, Piper Niven attacks Bayley and Naomi.

Santos Escobar defeated Apollo Cruz.




Cody Rhodes makes an appearance in his last confrontation with AJ Styles. Rhodes believes AJ Styles' task is nearly impossible. Finally, The Phenomenal One appears alongside Carl Anderson and Luke Gallows. The audience sings Boney M's “Daddy Cool,” but Cody Rhodes does the version. WWE takes the opportunity to broadcast the noise meter on screen, which is a curious fact. AJ Styles reminds Cody that he left WWE to win. Styles recalls his time in NJPW. He left ROH to help form an organization (AEW) and then left. When the going gets tough, Styles believes that Cody Rhodes decides to jump ship. Cody responded that he never gave up on learning and growing and that he believed he did the right thing. Remember, if he didn't do that, he wouldn't be here with the WWE belt on his shoulder.

Cody blames him for imitating Mark Henry to mark his retirement. Cody is sure AJ Styles will say “I Quit” when the big moment comes between the two, referring to the stipulation of their match at Clash at The Castle. AJ Styles responds by telling him when to finish. Styles recalls his fight with Seth Rollins, but promises that this rematch will be different because he's not Seth Rollins, he's AJ Styles. A loner makes sure he gets what he wants.

A video recap of Logan Paul competing in the Tetris Championship aired. Paul fails, so he returns home, and when he arrives, he breaks into his house and is told “his boy from Los Angeles” is there. LA Night Ball was relaxing by the pool and took a phone call. Knight gets up, dries himself off, and tells Paul he'll see him in Chicago next week. Knight said: “Bring that American title with you!”

Behind the scenes, The Bloodline is hitting street profit. Owens is alone.

In the main event, Solo Chikova defeated Kevin Owens, after the fight Dama Tonga and Tonga Loa appeared to attack Solo Chikova. Randy Orton interferes and the crowd goes crazy. Viper takes care of the bad guys and hits Chikova with a DDT. Orton tried to apply the RKO, but Tonga Loa interfered, although he was the one who got the RKO.
