The renovation of the public space in the west of Montevideo was inaugurated.

Soon, improvements to electrical installations and distribution of baskets of materials in existing groups will begin. A campaign addressing key concerns of the population, such as animal welfare and environmental cleanliness, is also being developed in collaboration with the Animal Welfare Unit and School 371.

Public space renewal

Currently, renovation works will be inaugurated in the center of the neighborhood (Building 13 and Block 23), which includes a space for sports and leisure activities that also serves as a viewpoint towards the Bay of Montevideo.

From the municipality, they pointed out that this intervention seeks to promote an accessible space and effective interaction for the inhabitants of Cossilia and its surroundings, and to promote community integration.

The renovated space includes a children's section equipped with hammocks, prisms, a star climber, cylindrical benches and a sidewalk decorated with rainbows and partridges. There is also a sports court. A concrete sidewalk is dedicated to soccer, basketball and volleyball courts, with two goalposts and volleyball equipment.

In the areas surrounding the playground, you can enjoy prismatic, curved and cylindrical seats, ping pong tables, exercise equipment, hammocks of all kinds, hoops, swings and health games.

The entire area is illuminated by several public lighting poles.
