Shaneice Palacios, who was a special guest on Top Chef VIP Thursday night, praised the quality of Nagatamal made by Costa Rican Gary Centeno.

“I want to stand up and give him a round of applause. You don't know how much this food means to me, because it reminded me of my Nicaragua when I sold Nagatamales with my family,” recalled Shaynice Palacios, with visible excitement.

Miss Universe 2023 said she discovered “the taste of the Nicaraguan people” in Nakatamal's system, then thanked and congratulated the Costa Rican chef on behalf of Nicaragua and Central Americans for the quality of her culinary art.
