“I'm going to be very clear and make things right. Because for the outlaws, my boy, it's not here. I know it's easy to be a bastard. “I've been in that situation myself,” sings the Mexican idol.

It was quickly speculated that the use of “outlaws” refers to the controversial relationship between Angela Aguilar and Christian Nodal. This interpretation is reinforced by the titles of two EPs by Latin Grammy winner Nodal. Outlaws EP1 (2022) and Outlaws EP2 (2023)

Spanish billboard Pepe left a message to Aguilar's representatives seeking comment.

In July, the day after his daughter tied the knot with Angela Nodal, the bride's father publicly blessed the couple on Instagram: “In every lasting relationship, love is 'essential' and respect and responsibility are absolutely essential,” wrote Pepe Aguilar. “With love, you face more complex challenges both within and outside of your environment.” […] I was in your place. Pepe Aguilar's next track follows the single “Lamontablemente,” which he released in May with Caryn Leon.
