El Salvador's President Nayib Bukele met with businessman Elon Musk, the Central American leader indicated in a brief message on X and confirmed to EFE by the presidency's spokeswoman.

“I had the pleasure of spending several hours talking with one of the great minds of our time,” Bukele posted on the social network.

The meeting was held at the Gigafactory in Austin, Texas (USA), where Tesla car batteries are manufactured using sustainable technology, according to government information shared with the press on social networks.

He pointed out that the meeting lasted more than two hours and discussed various topics of global interest.

Meanwhile, the businessman noted in a post on X that “we talk a lot about the nature of reality, the future of humanity, and how technology like AI and robotics will impact the world.”

“El Salvador has an incredible leader,” he added.
