Marianela Anjeta became the youngest woman to represent Cuba at the 2024 Miss Universe pageant this Thursday.The young lady who competed as the face of Madhya Pradesh was selected by a jury consisting of 17 dignitaries.
After the first catwalk with opening dresses and music by Celia Cruz, she sang live with Aimee Nuviola in a swimsuit. 24 candidates, 12 women have made it to the semi-finals.
Alina Robert, Marianela Ancheta, Maylin Hernández, Lianet Alvarez, Laynet Wong-den, Sísili Marín, Arlety González, Gallia Vega, Leanny Gonzalez, Yahima Mora, Lissandra Burgois and Cyntia García made this first selection.
Osmel Souza, one of the special guests of the night, admitted that he was very proud to be present and remembered that he was the last Cuban representative at Miss Universe. He was one of five finalists 57 years ago. This 2024, “The Tsar of Beauty” expects from the young woman who won the Miss Universe Cuba crown.
After the gala dress parade with music by Lenier Mesa, all was ready to choose the six contestants who would advance to the next round. Marianela Ancheta, Alina Robert, Maylin Hernández, Arlety González, Yahima Mora and Leanny González had to answer random questions prepared for them by the jury.
Marianela Ansetta and Alina Robert were the two finalists Miss Universe Cuba 2024.
Next November Marianela Ancheta will compete in the Miss Universe 2024 pageantA tournament in Mexico City.
