WhatsApp has added new filter and playback options to its video calls, giving users the opportunity to add a more dynamic and entertaining touch to their conversations. Filters similar to those on platforms like Instagram can now be applied, including effects like dogs and sunglasses, allowing you to further customize the video calling experience.

Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of WhatsApp's parent company Meta Platforms, showed off these new features in a demonstration with his wife, Priscilla Chan, using some filters.

To enjoy the new filters and backgrounds on WhatsApp video calls, users need to update the app to its latest version.

How to Use Video Call Filters on WhatsApp

To use the new WhatsApp filters and backgrounds, the user needs to initiate a video call where they can access the newly added features. At the bottom of the screen, in the style of Instagram filters, nine filters are represented by circular icons. To select one, press the icon most preferred by the user.
