A 25-year-old man killed his stepfather in Zongo La Maya, Santiago de Cuba.

A man in the municipality was murdered by his stepson Songo La MayaIn Santiago de Cuba, after the aggressor tried to mediate the beating of a woman.

Journalist Yosmany Mayeta said on social media that the victim was identified as Reinier Napoles Leliebre and the aggressor as Ronerkis Castelnaux.

The unfortunate incident took place on Saturday night near a feed factory in the municipality, when the stepfather – nicknamed “Jabo” – intervened in a fight between Ronerkis and his girlfriend.

“Jabao wanted to stop his stepson from attacking the girl again and again, so he killed him.”The aforementioned contact revealed one of his sources with knowledge of the case.

Napoles Lelibre did not survive the attack and was taken lifeless to the municipality's polyclinic, where he would have remained for several hours until he was transferred to forensic medicine.

The alleged killer was caught on the run for several hours on Sunday morning. At four o'clock in the afternoon on the same June 30, the victim was buried.
