The National Weather Service (SNM) in San Juan issued an urban flood and creek warning for several municipalities in the metro area this afternoon.
According to the agency, these are San Juan, Bayamon and Guanabo.
Meanwhile, Caguas remains on flood alert.
All of these alerts remain active until 5:00 p.m
However, the federal agency put several cities under a warning until 5:30 p.m.
They are Dorado, Do Alta, Do Baja, Vega Alta and Vega Baja.
On the island, the storm north of Culebra and northwest of St. Thomas has been raining since 1:46 p.m., so surrounding areas have received about an inch of rain, SNM said.
