(CNN) — A Texas man was arrested after boarding a Delta Air Lines flight in Salt Lake City on Sunday without a ticket using a photo he took of another passenger's boarding pass while he wasn't looking, according to court documents.

Wyclef Yves Florizard, 26, faces a charge of stowing away on a ship or plane, according to a complaint filed Monday in U.S. District Court in Utah.

Before boarding the plane at Salt Lake City International Airport, security footage showed Florizard taking pictures of several passengers' phones and boarding passes while they weren't looking, then using his own phone to board the plane to Austin. Allegedly. .

Once on board, Florizard went to the bathroom at the front of the plane and spent a “considerable amount of time” there while other passengers boarded, according to the complaint.

“After completing boarding and just before the aircraft doors were secured, Florizard exited the front lavatory, walked to the back of the aircraft and entered the rear lavatory,” the complaint states.

33. When he left the bathroom, a flight attendant noticed there were no seats available and approached Florizard to help him, according to the complaint, which indicated that the plane had already left the door and was beginning to taxi down the runway.

Florizard told the flight attendant that his seat was 21F, but a crew member verified that the person who bought the ticket for that seat was actually sitting in it, according to the complaint.

Once flight attendants obtained Florizard's real name and determined he did not have a ticket or reservation, the plane returned to the gate and were met by police, according to the complaint.
