Abinader announced work on the northwest line for 29 billion pesos

President Louis Abinader, along with his key ministers, announced this Saturday at the Executive Council in the province of Valverde that public investment of about 29,000 million pesos would be implemented in the provinces of the Northwest Division.

These jobs are scheduled for this last semester and the first semester 2022.

Louis Abinader explained that some of these projects would be public-private investments, where the public sector is considering building the Manzanillo dockyard at a cost of $ 6,800 million, with a portion of the resources going to the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).

“With this investment, I have no doubt that the Northwest Line will become better,” the president said.

Construction, completion of hospitals, renovation of primary care units and investments in clean energy areas are within the plan announced by the President in the four provinces of the Northwest Division.

Furthermore, discussions on the Governing Body covered domestic issues.

At the meeting, Public Works and Communications Minister Telegne Ascension said a general plan for the construction of sidewalks and containers in the province of Valverde would be developed to cover all municipalities in the province.

The meeting was held in the multipurpose room of the Autonomous University of Santos Domingo (UASD).

The provinces of Valverde, Santiago Rodriguez, Santiago and Puerto Plata have a presidential agenda this weekend.
