The presidential candidate of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM), Luis Abinader, said that the referendum, to be held next Sunday, May 19, will be held in favor of his actions in this four-year administration.
Abinador listed various measures to “recover the country after the pandemic, restart the economy, improve poverty levels in the Dominican Republic and promote employment.”
In addition, he spoke about the works in Pedernales, the Santo Domingo Oste (cable car) mass transit in the north, the expansion of social assistance, the UAST sub-center in STO, the construction of the courthouse.
“That's what these elections are all about. It's done. Here comes the big vote on the 19th,” Abinader was quoted as saying in a press release.
The current president revealed that the community abroad is aware of the measures used in the government he leads, “with a transparent government and a digital transformation that facilitates its procedures for the benefit of Dominicans abroad.”
These statements were made this Sunday before Herrera began his tour of the streets of the sector, where he was accompanied by Perrimistas and allies seeking congressional positions in the province of Santo Domingo.
