According to TripAdvisor, Varadero is now the tenth best beach in the world

According to the annual ranking, the famous Varadero beach took a place among the best places in the world Travel Advisor. Now, Matanzas Spa is ranked tenth in the list of 25 most suitable on the planet in the last year.

According to the aforementioned US travel portal, the top labels for Varadero are: activity, entertainment, expensive and health.

The TripAdvisor website highlights that the place has “everything you'd expect from a perfect beach: golden sand, turquoise blue waters and impressive sunsets”.

Likewise, keep in mind that you can enjoy various activities such as swimming, diving or kayaking at a major Cuban resort.

As if that weren't enough, visitors have the option of sailing on a catamaran, going fishing, playing a game of beach volleyball, and walking along the shore. “Relax and enjoy the beautiful natural landscape,” TripAdvisor invites you.

The TripAdvisor list is headed by Falesia Beach in Portugal. In the Caribbean, the best are: Playa de la Bahia de Gracia, Grace Bay, Turks and Caicos Islands and Playa del Águila, in Palma – Eagle Beach, Aruba.

As for the topic, earlier this year the specialist site World's 50 Best Beaches published a list of the best beaches worldwide.

In that other ranking, Varadero was ranked 48th. Varadero's decline is linked to a decline in tourism indicators for Cuba in recent months.

In fact, the tourism sector has had a poor start in 2024. Compared to the same period a year earlier, visitors grew a modest 4.3% in January. However, only 55% of the January average for the 2017-2019 level was recorded.

Finally, this other list (World's 50 Best Beaches) is topped by Lucky Beach in Australia, Source d'Argent in the Seychelles and Hidden in the Philippines.
