Astros third baseman Alex Bregman took the ball out of Minute Maid Park with two running backs to give his team the lead in Game 2 of the American League Championship Series.
At the end of the third chapter Bregman Dominican put the ball in orbit against Luis Severino, the Yankees’ starter. It was a 97 mph fastball that hit deep into left field to break up a scoreless tie. It was his second home run of the season against Seattle.

The inning got off to a rocky start with a pitch by Martin Maldonado and a single by Dominican Jeremy Pena. Severino looked to dominate the inning after striking out Jose Altuve and striking out Yordon Alvarez, but the bat of the Sidereals’ star third baseman prevented Aaron Boone’s men from celebrating Escon.
An inning earlier the Astros threatened to put runners on first and second but were left wanting. One of those who entered the base, Cuban Yuliski Curiel, had a powerful hit in his hand that increased his record among Cubans for most hits in the postseason (78).

Houston He won Game 1 of this championship series with a 4×2 scoreboard, so this matchup is very important for the Yankees. If the Cytreals win, they will put those from New York against the wall. Game 3 is Saturday at Yankee Stadium.
