Armando ArchundiaThe head of the commission issued a press release this Monday where the decision was announced after a bulletin circulated on social networks.
The first report indicated that no member of the Referees Association in Mexico could “show any support for a particular football team”.
The official report of the Commission of Arbitrators and written by President Armando Archundia, describes the following:
“It was discovered today that four external consultants who evaluate the work of our Third Expert Division referees published messages on their social networks expressing their support for the United States after last Sunday’s title win. These attitudes do not comply with professional principles. The impartiality with which this commission operates is why we have decided to terminate our professional relationship with them.
“With the aim of preventing the recurrence of these actions, the two coordinators of the referees’ instruction area published a statement in an apocryphal document (with the national team and the Mexican Football Federation’s letterhead) without my authorization or the permission of any other member of this commission, and sent through non-institutional channels (WhatsApp). , but in the name of the Commission.
“After an internal analysis, we found this action to be a serious offense as the coordinators assumed powers that did not belong to them and questioned the professionalism of our company as a result of miscommunication. Working relationship with them”.
As a result, four external consultants and two coordinators who were part of the arbitration commission lost their jobs.
