Recognition of scientific work granted to the President of Cuba
Havana, June 17 (Prensa Latina) The Third International Congress “Science and Education”, held in this capital, today presented the Cuban President, Miguel Díaz Canel, with honorary recognition for his scientific work.
In thanking him for this gesture, the President expressed that he received it “as a recognition and tribute to the Cuban people who believe in science as one of the pillars of government administration.”
The Head of State also highlighted the legacy of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, who placed science at the heart of all operations, the Presidency of the Republic reported on the social networking site X.
Until next Wednesday, academics from several countries around the world will discuss at the conference center practical measures related to education, science and culture at the international level, from a comprehensive approach to the Sustainable Development Goals and the 2030 Agenda.
As part of the conference activities, the fifth global meeting for academic and research products in education will be held this afternoon, with the participation of 15 countries, and as a new addition to the International Children’s Prize 2024, the Cuban news agency reported.
Within the framework of this event, seminars Essential Education and Open Science: Education and Research will also be held with the participation of Cuban and international experts who will discuss innovation and scientific research in the field of education, educational policies and models.
