The exhibition begins with “Barbie No. 1,” the first model created by the American company Mattel in 1959. The exhibition also includes the surfer “Sunset Malibu Barbie,” which was very popular in the 1970s, or “Full Hair Barbie” from 1992, with her long hair, the best-selling in the world with 10 million copies.
The first black or wheelchair-bound Barbie dolls are also on display at the exhibition. Organizers of the exhibition said they were proud to display “the only Barbie doll to ever go to space.”
