“Cataliza” crosses art, culture and science

The call is intended for artists and / or artistic groups residing in the province, for the production of work within the framework of the Cataliza Festival. New intersections between art, culture and science. The call will be available until September 26.

DETAIL

To address doubts or concerns, two informative meetings will be held at Cecual (Santa María de Oro 471) between interested artists and research teams to analyze the prioritized thematic lines. The meetings will be the following:

First meeting: Wednesday, August 25, at 7:30 p.m. Presentation of the call to the artists, and presentation by the research teams of the corresponding topics: a) Indigenous and Afro in colonial history; b) Art and gender.

Second meeting: Thursday, August 26, at 7:30 p.m. Presentation of the topics a) Health, poverty and environment; b) Indigenous languages; c) Visuality and decoloniality.

This initiative is developed within the framework of the ICCH program called Trama Creativa, which aims to promote the creation of cultural production networks.

FESTIVAL

The projects that are selected will be part of the Cataliza Festival which will also have forums, talks, workshops and audiovisual interventions, involving instances of circulation of the works produced through different public cultural institutions (museums, cultural centers) and the development of a Interactive web page that will allow to know and deepen in the benefited projects.

This festival was selected within the Program of Scientific Culture Projects of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation of the Nation, whose final objective is to promote activities aimed at demonstrating the social value of science and technology with an associative and inter-institutional character. It will be held for three days on the premises where the Geohistorical Research Institute (IIGHI) currently operates (Av. Castelli 930).

“The intention is to resignify this research space and bring the public an unprecedented event that maintains an essential relationship with the objectives and actions carried out by said Institute. This activity seeks to bring the public closer to the dialogue that can take place between scientific work and the investigations that materialize it, with contemporary art forms; as well as recreating the link between the scientific and artistic community, with its symbolic universes ”, they expressed from the organization.
