“As of this Friday afternoon, the fate of José Jaime Uscategui, the representative of the Chamber for the Center for Democracy, is unknown, who arrived in Caracas after noon with the intention of conducting political monitoring of the peace process with the ELN. It has been repeatedly denied by the government of President Gustavo Pedro,” said the statement released by the group.

They also said the congressman traveled to Venezuelan territory after certified communication from the Colombian Ministry of Foreign Affairs that Milton Rengifo Hernandez, the Colombian ambassador to Venezuela, was aware of his trip.
