Cubans will not be able to buy dollars at CADECA this Saturday

Cuba online booking site Ticket has apologized for the problems it has been having for days, but still no solution. This Saturday, for example, many customers will not be able to access CADECA services.

“The ticket application presents problems in its operation. We ask users to familiarize themselves with the official ticket and CADECA accounts”, they indicated this Friday from the Casas de Cambio network account.

The truth is that CADECA announced in the last hours that “due to problems presented on the platform” or “the appointments for this August 26 have not been given”.

As the Cuban government tries to make banking access almost mandatory, the platform to book appointments for foreign currency exchange, justice procedures or buying fuel has been down for days and customers don’t know what to do with their tickets.

“I was 160 on Wednesday, how am I now? Can someone explain that to me?” asked user Elaine Rodriguez.

“Since February, I have been waiting for an appointment at CADECA de Belascoáin in Havana,” Gretel González Cisneros said in the same vein.

Another person wrote: “Another feat of Cuban civil engineering. I missed the ticket and who do I complain to. Please someone in charge of this platform explain to those who are on recent shifts how it will proceed”.

Despite the ticket’s assurance that “channels of communication are at your disposal to clarify doubts, provide answers and inform you about important updates,” the customer service did not respond to users.

Customers themselves have described their experiences with other platform failures.

“Due to a mistake in the application, the waiting room for CADECA was canceled from May 8, I called several times and they took my data and told me to wait, the truth is that they never restored it,” said Ileana Santos.

Mother Gonzalez said that “according to the Artemisa Provincial Justice Directorate, they have not been connected for 2 months” and she wonders who she can believe.

“You can call CADECA and ask which list you are on and they will give you a list for today, the day before and tomorrow depending on who is taking care of you and who wants to help you,” suggested Cesia Gabriela Andrade.
