The Piuke Space, which opened its doors in 2021, has the agenda of activities for 2022. Two of the proposals the venue offers are contemporary dance, physical training and handstand, implemented by (Tey) Támara Campano.

To tell a little bit about how the year is coming up, Tay spoke with La Voz del Pueblo. In his early concepts, he emphasized that they are “annual classes. We started in April with contemporary dance classes and other inverted physical training classes, which are all numbers we can do on our hands, mostly people looking for vertical sectors, but we’re working on a lot of other characters.” which we can keep in our own hands.”

In this regard, Tey gave more details. “I train vertically, the ones we used to do when we were young,” he emphasized, and explained, “There is a technique to reach a handstand; that means to balance on the hands. It’s a circus art too. What I do is physical training, that is, the positioning of our bodies. entirely to be able to balance on our hands…I give posture, strength, and alignment, and from there I try to bring our center to our hands, completely opposite our axis.”

As for contemporary dance, he emphasized that it approaches a different place. “Although there are classical or contemporary dance performances that have a somewhat neo-classical style, the research I bring is different. My training was in Buenos Aires at the National School of Dance, and then at IUNA, which is a national art institute… I danced in companies Independent dance theater and physical theater and I had many lessons with many teachers, so the baggage I brought is great information.”

In this sense, he said, his knowledge allows him to conduct mergers. “In my classes, I perform a number of contemporary dance techniques, although I focus more on one called low-altitude flying, which is the most common technique I encounter. Also, since I love acrobatics because I do acrobatics, I incorporate it and have my own way.”

Back to town

Tamara is from Tresarroy and moved back to the city two years ago. “These are things that happen in time and space; back to Tres Arroyos, that a great friend from childhood has come back to Tres Arroyos and also works with the body… With her we started chatting and with the need for space to teach our classes, another colleague joined us, we started and we are happy “.

TV analysis of her first year with her classmates said: “I always came back but the suggestion you made was an intense workshop and had a lot of response. Now, creating routines and daily life was a lot of word of mouth, so that people get to know you, And that space begins to grow, and then one makes their way.”

As word of mouth increased, so did the number of female students. “Sometimes it was full and the rhythm of the classes was great, then a second wave of the epidemic came and a lot of people came down and then it was complicated to come back again, but there are students coming in, they are consistent, they have and I see their progress since we started.”

Playing sports

Tey’s classes are aimed at teens and adults. When asked if it was necessary to have knowledge to join, she explained, “The important thing is to have some connection with your body, not to ignore you to the point of doing absolutely nothing, and I will go to classes because I work with teens and adults, and although we start from Zero, everyone has their level, I’m interested in them having that, some kind of knowledge or work with their bodies.”
