During a raid in Anasco they rescued a hundred cats

Authorities recovered one hundred cats this morning after completing a search and search warrant in a residence located at kilometer 2.0 of the PR-401 highway in the neighborhood of Playa in Anasco.

According to the investigation of Agent Jose Flores, coordinator of Law 154 for the Welfare and Protection of Animals in Mayaguez, Erica Marie Erickson, who lives in the apartment, is said to be a rescuer, who was complained by neighbors because of unsanitary conditions. The residence is said to be in inhumane conditions with excrement even in the resident’s room.

The case will be discussed with prosecutor Andres Fernandez to file possible charges.
