ESDi students present their final projects at “Transiting space”, the Class 2022 fashion fair held by the famous design school in the Hangar space in Barcelona
Another year, the ESDi Graduate School of Design presented “Crossing Space”, a fashion show in which final projects were presented by its students with a degree in Fashion Design. On the occasion, they were sponsored by ConceptD, Acer’s brand of designers and creators, during which they celebrated their return to physical form after the pandemic broke. Apart from the live show, the fashion fair also became a clothing fair and fashion films were shown for the projects.
Sara Carbonell, Rosa Cano, Roo Shi Seto Yi, Julia Cabos, Alba Aranda, Laya Montale, Emma Soler, Monica Goyo, Patricia Mestris, Maria Rosinol, Esther Rodriguez, Ana Casas and Gemma Pascual are the students who presented their collections this year. among them, The jury decided that the group “Peripecia” by Esther Rodriguez would win the first prize for best group; Alba Aranda’s “(Des) Globalització” took one of the second awards, and Júlia Cabús’ “(Re)tense” won the other.
With this new version of Class Fashion Show 2022ESDi wanted to invite us to plunge into each designer’s personal space through their collections. This space filled with elements is actually a reflection in the form of a metaphor of the journey that each person took during their creative process.

The event was held on board two space ships from the Hangar in Barcelona and an outdoor space where they set up a showcase to admire the proposals of young creators. This hybrid event allowed groups to be enjoyed on the screen of the showroom, where fashion films were shown; On mannequins in a maze designed with tulle and through drawing brochures for the projects on display.

Alba Aranda won one of the second prizes awarded by ESDi at the Class Fashion Show 2022 for her “(Des) Globalització” collection., a project that deals with the issue of globalization and how it got out of hand, leaving future generations with a future that is hard to control. This young designer is committed to sustainable design, transportation, circular economy, and recycling to support the necessary deglobalization process.

Another second prize went to Julia Nightmare and offered her proposal “(re)tense.”, a collection based on the topics covered in American Gothic and views similar to those in America today. After deeply investigating the problem in the past and comparing it to the present, Júlia demonstrates her conclusions through groundbreaking and very interesting designs.
