Expansion of the Lluís Millet CAP in Esplugues de Llobregat: more healthcare space and better patient care

Work has begun on the expansion of the Lluís Millet CAP program in Esplugues de Llobregat, which will include eight new consultations and a larger healthcare space. The €700,000 investment comes from European funds REACT-EU and the works are expected to be completed by the end of the year. In addition, 22 similar operations will be carried out in Catalonia with a total value of €42 million.

Work began this week on the expansion of CAP Lluís Millet in Esplugues de Llobregat. This measure will allow 220 square meters of healthcare space to be acquired, which will help increase the center’s capacity and improve patient care.

The primary care center will undergo a significant expansion by offering eight new family medicine and nursing consultations. A waiting room and reception space will also be added. The aim of the business is to effectively serve patients while the new centre, which will replace the current center and respond to the immediate need for more space, is built. After the pandemic, the incorporation of new professionals such as the emotional well-being reference, nutritionist and physiotherapist has exacerbated the need to have more space.

The works are expected to be completed by the end of the year. This represents an investment of €700,000, financed by the Catalan Health Service through the European REACT-EU funds.

During the period between December 2023 and March 2024, 22 actions will be carried out throughout Catalonia worth €42 million. These measures will allow the assistance devices to be operated and expanded through the construction of industrial units, as announced by the Ministry of Health.
