Fed arrests nine for PUA fraud

Federal agencies arrested nine people this morning after completing an investigation into the fraud Infectious Unemployment Assistance Program (PUA),

New day I know it The detainees were in Humacao, Comorcio and Aguas Buenos Aires, but all agencies were from different parts of the island and had multiple addresses of people who allegedly cheated to get checks.

This is the first time federal agencies have been arrested by the PUA in Puerto Rico.

The arrests follow a federal grand jury decision last week.

Spokesperson Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI, in English), Lime Cruz Rubio told the media Arrest warrants are separate and nine adults.

The trial was attended by the Treasury Department, the Department of Labor and Human Resources, the United States Postal Service and the Inspector General’s Office in Puerto Rico.
