Gemini, Google's Artificial IntelligenceIt is very useful in all tasks performed on devices Android and iOS. For example, if the user asks for ideas for a vegetarian lunch, the AI can not only provide options, but also create a list of ingredients in Keep and add a reminder to start cooking in the phone's alarm app.
The announcements were made at the Made by Google event, where the company showcased its advances in artificial intelligence and new devices. This year, the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, Pixel 9 Pro Fold models, Pixel Watch 3 and Pixel Buds Pro 2 were released.
Key announcements from Google regarding Gemini:
Gemini Live is a personal assistant for Android and iOS devices. This new experience will allow users to have fluid and natural conversations with Gemini that will help them answer questions on a variety of topics, generate creative ideas, solve problems and plan projects.
Users can take advantage of Gemini in a number of ways, not just through its chatbot app. In the coming weeks, Google will integrate these Gemini features into Android devices:
- Press and hold the Hey Google or button
All you have to do is say “Ok Google” or press and hold the power button to make the Gemini appear on the screen and answer the user's questions.
Additionally, there will be an “Ask about this screen” option, which will allow Gemini to provide information related to the content currently visible on the screen or answer questions, as well as interact with various applications on the phone. This feature is available in select devices, languages and countries.
Android users can enjoy a multi-window experience with Gemini, allowing them to multitask. For example, when watching a video on YouTube, you can immediately search for related information by opening a new tab in the application. This feature is available on select Android devices.

Gemini will include new extensions like Keep, Tasks, YouTube Music, Calendar Other apps that manage device functions like alarms, flashlight, volume, and Wi-Fi.
For example, you can help organize dinner for the day, request a vegetarian menu, and add items to a shopping list in the Keep app. The feature is coming soon to all Android devices in the coming weeks.

Gemini has support for over 45 languages and is available in over 200 countries. Currently, it is compatible with various Android phone models, and in the coming weeks, it will expand to include tablets with the same operating system.
To start using Gemini, users need to download the Gemini app from the Google Play Store on their Android devices. In this case, Gemini is available on Android phones (including many foldable models) with 2 GB of RAM or more and running Android 10 or later.
On iOS devices, you need to install the Google app and then look for the Gemini tab within the app. iOS 15.0 or later is required.
Another way to use Gemini on iOS (requires Google app) and Android is through Google Assistant. The user only needs to say “Ok Google” to interact with the AI.
Finally, anyone using any mobile device but with a Google Account can access the Gemini website to interact with the AI.
