Gwyneth Paltrow wants everyone to stop ‘screaming’ at her for not playing Iron Man’s Pepper Potts

(CNN) — Gwyneth Paltrow made a request to Marvel fans around the world.

The Coop founder responded to his followers’ questions on Instagram Stories on Wednesday, asking them to “answer the question” about why he stopped appearing in Marvel movies.

“OMG. Stop yelling at me,” Paltrow playfully said in her video response, adding, “We stopped because Iron Man died.”

She continued: “Why do you need Pepper Potts without Iron Man? I don’t know…” and then told fans to “call Marvel and yell at them, not me! I’m sitting here.”

The Oscar winner hasn’t appeared as Bats in a Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movie since “Avengers: Endgame,” in which Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) actually died.

He first appeared as Stark’s personal assistant Bots in 2008’s “Iron Man,” and played the role in two “Iron Man” sequels and three “Avengers” movies for more than a decade.

He also appeared as Bats in 2017’s “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” but jokingly admitted to “Iron Man” director Jon Favreau and celebrity chef Roy Choi that he didn’t even remember Tom Tom being in the movie. Holland in a 2019 episode of the Netflix show “The Chef Show”.
