Nantes, France.
Brazilian fast bowler Neymar played this weekend’s 25th match of the French League 1, beating Paris Saint-Germain (3-1) on a humiliating penalty kick in the weekend.
Neymar, who has recovered from injury, started for PSG for the first time since November. This allowed the French champions’ mastermind to recreate his long-awaited ‘MNM’ attacking trio, joining the Brazilian star with his other two attacking superstars, Kylian Mbabane and Lionel Messi.
Neymar suffered a left ankle sprain on November 28 in Saint-Etienne (3-1). The Brazilian appeared again on Tuesday in a 1-0 win over Real Madrid in the Champions League, but then started as a substitute and entered the game to play the last twenty minutes.
Innocent sentence of ‘you’
Having already scored 3-1, Neymar had a chance to close the gap in the 55th minute after a tennis apiece penalty against Mbabane.
The Brazilian took to collecting the ball, but he did it terribly. 23-year-old Nantes goalkeeper Alban Lafont easily blocked a loose shot he threw with his right foot.
Local fans at the Peugeot Stadium exploded in delight after Neymar’s mistake, just minutes before, in the 47th minute, when Stopage scored.
Messi’s excellent help and ‘Ney’ solved it in a big way with a shot from the right side. This is a bitter game for Brazilians.
