Iranian naval forces have spotted a foreign submarine in the Gulf of Oman during military exercises, and the American submarine was removed shortly after the summons, according to Mediafox.

An unidentified military submarine attempted to enter the area where Iranian warships were maneuvering in the Gulf of Oman. The Iranian navy quoted the Tasnim agency as saying that the submarine had been removed as soon as it was built.

According to NavalNews.com, images released by Iranian authorities show an Ohio-class military submarine, mostly the USS submarine USS Georgia (SSGN 729).

The submarine USS Georgia was sent to the Persian Gulf on December 21, 2020, and was taken away by other US military ships. The United States has not announced the location of the submarine at this time.

Relations between the United States and Iran have soured due to Iran’s nuclear program and ballistic activities. Washington is not happy about Iran’s influence in some Middle Eastern countries.
