Founded in 2012 and led by composer and singer Francisca Buendia, the band blends jazz and Latin American rhythms, with musicians Tomas Ripoll, Tomas Cepeda and Felipe Alfaro.
On this occasion, the album “Timones y Motores” will be presented, which includes original compositions by Buendia, Ripoll and Cepeda. This album includes collaborations with musicians such as Gonzalo Cordero (guitarist for Joe Vasconcelos and former guitarist for Anita Tijo), Raimundo Santander, Mirza, Claudio Fredes, and more. The production was directed by Alfredo Tauber (Allfree), known for his work with artists such as La Brígida Orquesta, Ania Ivania and Camila Bañados.
“We want Rudders and Engines to be an invitation to live in a lighter, more participatory way. Each song is a reflection of our experiences and emotions,” says Francisca Buendia. “We hope that our listeners will find in our music a companion in their own adventures.”
