Without conditions of social distance, surrounded by screens and with insufficient places, the press area was set up during the protest of Román Cepeda as mayor of Torreón, an event held on Saturday at noon at the Nazas Theater in the city.
El Siglo de Torreón attended together with other media to the event that took place this day, although contrary to what happened during the last report of Jorge Zermeño as mayor, the new Social Communication team of Román Cepeda determined to have outside the enclosure from the Nazas Theater to the representatives of the press, for this they placed chairs and tables in the lobby that turned out to be insufficient when considering the number of people who came to carry out their informative work, in addition there were crowds in that area, due to the fact that it was closed the place with screens that prevented adequate air circulation.
Although screens and speakers were placed to follow the event, some representatives of the press were left out of the area at times, due to the number of people occupying places.
It should be noted that sanitary controls were carried out in the main entrances of the Nazas Theater, in addition, a general compliance with the use of the mask was observed among the attendees.
Within his inaugural speech of the municipal administration under his charge, Cepeda emphasized his objective of establishing “a better relationship with the media, with the aim, always, that society demands its right to be well informed.”
