The Cali Mobility Secretariat was part of the inter-institutional operations of the Santiago de Cali District Mayor’s Office on Friday night (01.28.2022) with the aim of guaranteeing the non-invasion of public space with vehicles or motorcycles on the platforms around the gastronomic area of the Parque del Perro.
The Cali Mobility Secretariat, Municipal Planning, Security and Justice Secretariat, Municipal Health Secretariat, Personería and the Police participated in these operations.
For the Secretary of Mobility, William Vallejo, these types of interventions are essential to order mobility in this area to the southwest of the city.
“From 7 at night We started an operation in which we have already immobilized several vehicles due to poor parking, specifically on 34th Street in the dog park. We will continue working to order mobility in this area, from which we have received multiple complaints about this problem due to parking in this area,” explained William Vallejo, Secretary of Mobility of Cali.
Likewise, he emphasized to all Caleños and Caleñas that there are other ways to get to this gastronomic area, either by using public transport or a taxi. “Using the taxi or the MIO are two very good options. For those who decide to arrive in their private vehicle, they should locate it in a place where it is not obstructing the platforms, the stops of the mass transit system, the passage of pedestrians and where it is not hamper mobility in the area.

The Cali Mobility Secretariat reminds all citizens that the summons for bad parking has a cost of 15 current legal daily minimum wages, SMDLV, that is, approximately $500,000, plus all the costs associated with the tow truck and the days in which that the vehicle will be immobilized.
These types of operations will continue to intensify in other strategic points of the city with the purpose of making Cali a city where public space is respected.
