Two former players of Leones del Caracas had an emotional reunion in the structure of the Texas League. In this circuit of Class AA of the minor leagues, Gregorio Petit and Raul Patron met again from the cave. Both sluggers were on the Melinutos champion team against Navegantes del Magalens in the final of the 2009–2010 harvest.
Now, post-retirement, they make a living as coaches in the minor leagues and trading lines before games. Gregorio Petit is currently the team manager Corpus Christi Hooks, the Double-A affiliate of the Houston Astros. For his part, Raul Patron is part of the team San Antonio MissionsSan Diego Padres affiliate as hitting coach. The two met again after 30 years of playing baseball.

“We met representing our team, Miranda is in high school, then we signed with the same team to play professionally, we got to play together in many leagues, we signed with Los Glorios Leones del Caracas, the best team in Venezuela, and we became champions, the team so far. The last title won. 30 years later, we’re back in baseball as first nationals in different roles.” Gregorio Petit revealed in a post on his Instagram account.
