(CNN) — Madonna is rescheduling her world tour dates in North America after being hospitalized recently.
The Grammy winner announced the news A publication Instagram this Monday.
“Thank you for your positive energy, your prayers and your words of healing and encouragement. I feel your love,” she wrote. “I’m on the mend and I’m so grateful for all the blessings in my life,” she added.
He later recounted: “The first thing I thought of when I woke up in the hospital was my kids. My second thought was that I don’t want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets to my tour. I don’t want to either. Let down the people who have worked tirelessly with me over the years. Over the last few months to build my show. I hate to disappoint you.”
“Now I am focusing on my health and getting stronger and I promise to get back to you as soon as I can,” he added.
Madonna has announced that she will begin her international tour in October.
CNN has reached out to their representatives for further comment, but has yet to hear back.
Last month, Madonna’s manager Guy Oseary announced that the queen of pop was in intensive care after suffering from a “severe bacterial infection”.
Madonna’s “Celebration” tour was set to kick off in Vancouver, Canada on July 15.
In a statement following Madonna’s post, Live Nation confirmed that all of her North American tour dates have been postponed.
“We encourage fans to hold on to their tickets as the new dates will be valid once they are announced,” the statement said.
