Mara Cristina Romero is the new secretary of Research of Research Science and Technology of UNCAus

This Wednesday, the rector of the National University of Chaco Austral, Germán Oestmann, appointed Dr. Mara Cristina Romero, as secretary of Research, Science and Technology Research. The doctor and engineer has a broad and impeccable professional career within the University.

This assumption of office procedure is carried out by Resolution No. 855/2021 – R. of the Institution. The functions of the Science and Technical Research Research Secretariat are aimed at managing research in all disciplinary areas that are developed at the National University of Chaco Austral.

The House of High Studies congratulates the new secretary and sends greetings for this new stage within the institution.

Career path

Exclusive Adjunct Professor competed in the Chair of Food Industries II. Category in inv. III. Member of the Institute for Research in Advanced Technological Processes (INIPTA), where he works as Inv. CONICET assistant since entering the career in 2016, in the development of functional meat products with additives from regional resources, evaluating their quality and bioavailability of nutrients. Director of research and technology transfer projects related to the development of quality and shelf life studies of functional foods; and preservation and shelf life of dehydrated breast milk (UNCAUS-INIPTA). Direction of graduate thesis and graduate and undergraduate scholarship holders. Member of the Regional Doctorate Academic Committee and Food Engineering Commission. Member of the UNCAUS Technological Linkage Unit. He teaches postgraduate courses at the University for different postgraduate careers. Project evaluator for the Ministry of Science and Technology. Reviewer of Articles for Congresses and international magazines.
